Privacy
This page explains what we do with personal data on backtobetter.io. It covers this site only. Our products each run their own policy, linked at the bottom.

Who we are
Back to Better AB, org.nr 559450-8540, a Swedish limited company. We are the data controller for everything described here. Write to backtobetter@riseup.net about anything on this page.
What we collect, and why
When you write to us
The contact form asks for your name, email address, a subject and a message. We use them to answer you, and for nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list. The message is delivered by email through Amazon Web Services in Stockholm and lands in our inbox at Riseup.
When you browse
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics records which pages you look at, roughly where in the world you are, what kind of device you use, and how you found us. We use it to understand what people actually read. If you decline, none of it runs and no analytics cookies are stored.
Cookies
Nothing optional is stored until you choose. The cookie notice appears on your first visit and nothing is written before you answer it. Declining leaves the site fully functional.
- Strictly necessary — loads the site and remembers the choice you make in the notice. Always on, no consent needed.
- Analytics — Google Analytics (
_ga,_ga_*). Optional. - Advertising — used to tell whether an ad brought you here. Optional, and off unless you turn it on.
To change your mind later, clear this site's data in your browser and the notice will ask again.
Google advertising features
We use Google Analytics with advertising features turned on: Google Signals, demographics and interests reporting, and remarketing. Together with Google we read first-party and third-party cookies to understand how people find and use this site, and to reach people who have visited us before with ads on other sites.
This applies only to visitors who are signed in to a Google account and have turned on Ads Personalization. You can switch it off at any time in Google Ads Settings, see and delete what Google has associated with your account at My Activity, or block Analytics entirely with Google's browser opt-out add-on. Declining analytics in our own cookie notice stops it too.
Who else sees your data
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with anyone outside these three:
- Amazon Web Services — hosts the site and delivers contact form email. Servers in Stockholm; the content delivery network is global.
- Google — Analytics and Tag Manager. Our data is stored in the European Union, though Google may process it elsewhere under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and its Data Privacy Framework certification.
- Riseup — our email provider, based in the United States.
Transfers outside the EU rest on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy
- correct anything wrong
- delete it
- restrict or object to how we use it
- hand it over in a portable format
- withdraw consent you have given, without affecting what came before
Email backtobetter@riseup.net and we will answer within a month. If you think we have handled your data badly you can complain to Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, the Swedish data protection authority.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to us and we will remove it.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site itself.
Our products
This policy covers backtobetter.io. Each product handles its own data and has its own policy: roghe.ai, Ralph & Friends, Skyddskraft and Beyond Better Labs.
